Seminar Overview

Anyone can benefit by empowering themselves and developing tools to navigate their medical journey.

Our 7-step training program is typically 2-1/4 hours long, including a brief "intermission." The actual length may vary depending on the size of the class and the number of questions people ask. People can take the seminar either as an individual for $30, or as a team with the person who would be their medical advocate for $50. Please note, anyone registered as an individual receives their own PATHS Resource Book; patient/advocate teams receive one Resource Book.

Our training seminars teach you how to put yourself on your medical team. You will learn how to:

  • choose medical providers and treatment centers
  • build a collaborative approach with your doctors
  • advocate and problem-solve
  • evaluate your critical and special needs

  • prepare and provide information doctors need
  • find support and assistance
  • work with your insurer

We understand personal budgets may be tight. If you can't afford the fee please call us and we will try to work something out. We use a portion of donated funds to offer the program to individuals who can not otherwise afford it because we want anyone to be able to take it, regardless of whether or not it fits in their budget.
